Two Disney stars are heading to the live Dec. 7 telecast.
NBC’s Hairspray Live! has found Amber Von Tussle and Link Larkin!
Disney stars Dove Cameron and Garrett Clayton have landed the respective roles on the live Dec. 7 telecast, NBC announced Monday.
Cameron, star of Disney Channel’s Liv and Maddie, and Clayton, who appeared on Freeform’s The Fosters and ABC’s The Real O’Neals, have had experience with TV musicals, starring in the Descendants and Teen Beach Movie franchises, respectively.

For Cameron, Hairspray Live! marks an adorable reunion with Kristin Chenoweth, who will play Amber’s mother Velma. They played mother-daughter duo Mal and Maleficent in the Descendants and will be only slightly less conniving as the ambitious Von Tussles.
Clayton’s casting is also notable as he bears a striking resemblance to Zac Efron, who played Link in the 2007 movie musical.
Both Cameron, 20, and Clayton, 25, teased the exciting news on Twitter on Monday afternoon.

The cast of Hairspray Live! is shaping up to be one stellar ensemble. They’ll be joined by newcomer Maddie Baillio, Harvey Fierstein, Jennifer Hudson, Martin Short, Derek Hough and Ariana Grande.
Hairspray Live! will air Dec. 7 on NBC.
