As she approaches her milestone 30th birthday, Lea Michele
says she feels “the best I’ve ever felt” about her body image.
The Scream Queens star recently stripped down for the cover of Women’s Health UK and tells ET that while the idea of posing naked was daunting, she was thrilled with the result.
“It was intimidating following in Chrissy Teigen's shoes,” the actress told us during an exclusive interview at the 2016 TCA Summer Press Tour. “She's so beautiful. Zoe Saldana has done the cover as well. But I'm very comfortable in my skin. I was on Broadway and I had to take my clothes off there as well.”
“It wasn't that crazy for me, but then again, at the end of the day when you're taking these pictures you're like, ‘Oh wait, these are going to be on newsstands for the whole world to see,’” the former Glee
star continued. “But I'm very happy with how it came out. I feel the best I've ever felt in my whole life. I'm going to be 30 in three weeks, so I think it was the perfect time to do that.”
As for her beauty regime, Michele shared some of it on Snapchat recently, letting the world watch as she had her upper lip waxed.<p>The post was a good-humored attempt to show how good she’s getting at Snapchatting.
“If you ask for me to get good at something, I'm going to get really, really good at it,” laughed the star. “So everyone's been saying, 'Please snapchat more, please do it,' and so if you ask you shall receive. That's what happens in the day of Lea Michele.”
As for what’s happening with her alter-ego Hester when Fox’s Scream Queens returns in the fall, Michele said she’s still amazed at some of the things she does on set.
Recent photos showed Hester wearing what appeared to be a prison jumpsuit, but Michele was coy about the details.
“They got a bunch of pictures of me the other day filming and that was a lot of fun. If you ever told me a couple of years ago that I would be playing this character and doing the things I am doing I wouldn't believe you. But I am having the best time. I love my storyline for this season and it's going to be really great.”
