The former NBA star is starting to work out and get in shape, but Khloe has her doubts on the next 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians.'

Lamar Odom is ready to get back on the court and return to his life's passion: playing basketball.

In this promo for the upcoming new episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the 36-year-old former L.A. Lakers star opens up to his ex, Khloe Kardashian, and his former mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, about his plans for getting back into the game.

"I'm going to this training facility in Santa Barbara," Odom explains. "A lot of pros, and guys that will be pros, work out there."

It's clear the news makes Jenner happy, but Kardashian still has her share of reservations about Odom's ability to put in the work needed to achieve his goal.

"Basketball is obviously Lamar's passion and love, and anything that's positive and uplifting, I'm all for," the 32-year-old reality star shares with the cameras. "But Lamar hasn't followed through recently, with so many things."

"I need to see some consistency and a little effort on Lamar's part," she continues. "Going to a basketball camp is a big step and I don't want to set him up for failure."

However, Odom is adamant that he's "looking forward to" getting back into shape and returning to the sport that made him a star.

Given Odom's hospitalization last year and subsequent recovery process, many thought the day might never come when the former basketball star would even be able to walk again, let alone make a run to return to the court.
