The ongoing drama between Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom once again took center stage on Sunday's Keeping Up With the Kardashians as the former NBA pro said he wants to get back into basketball and his ex worried that he might start down a dangerous road.

After Lamar opened up about wanting to start training at a facility in Santa Barbara in an effort to get back on the court, Khloe still had her concerns about his ability to stick with a healthy lifestyle.

"I want the best for Lamar," Khloe told her best friend, Malika Haqq. "I love that he would be spending his time in such a positive way, but with everything going on lately there's just not a lot of trust there."

The 32-year-old reality star's trust issues were only compounded when Lamar called her up and admitted that's he's been struggling with his sobriety.

"He was like 'I'm having really bad cravings,'" Khloe told Kylie, recounting a phone call she had with Lamar the day before. "I was like, 'You should talk to someone. I don't know how to help you, I wish I did.’"

While Khloe gave Lamar credit for being "really honest about the thoughts he's been having," she admitted that the only advice she can give him is to seek mental help, but "Lamar won’t do that, and so that's really frustrating."

"You can't do anything if the person's not willing to take control of their life and get help," she explained.

Speaking with her sister, Kim, Khloe admitted that the way Lamar's been behaving and acting is "like five steps backwards."

The 36-year-old former L.A. Lakers star's addiction issues and his road to recovery have been a constant struggle on the show, and Khloe has been Lamar's rock throughout his on-going health problems. But with his recent spate of relapses, she's forced to ask herself, "Why do I treat him better than I treat myself?"

Khloe's sister Kourtney, who has also had her fair share of challenges dealing with a significant other who is struggling with addiction issues, offered a little advice.

"Like with Scott [Disick], it's like, I don't tell him, 'Don't do this or that' and it feels so good to let it go," Kourtney explained. "But it's hard, because at the same time you don't want the person to die."

"Well that's just what's gonna happen," Khloe replied, gravely. "I feel really strongly there's only one outcome."

Since this episode was shot, Khloe once again filed for divorce from Lamar after previously retracting her earlier petition in the wake of his hospitalization last year.

ET caught up with Lamar back in April, where he opened up about where the former couple's relationship stands, sharing, "We've been through a lot, you know what I mean? It won't ever stop." Check out the video below to hear more about the tumultuous relationship.
