Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas has responded to Bachelor in Paradise contestant Jared Haibon's fanboy confessions.

Haibon recently shared he's a little bit obsessed with the "Pieces" singer on Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise, declaring, "I'm passionate about Rob Thomas," during a date with Caila Quinn. The reality star then added that the qualities he looks for in a woman are "somebody who loves movies and Rob Thomas."

"I'm not sure how I felt about that because this guy was just really, really a fan… almost crazy," Thomas, 44, told ET during the Los Angeles stop of his latest tour. "I was kind of scared about it. I think I've met him before!"

Thomas, who is on the road with Counting Crows touring in support of his solo album, The Great Unknown, added that his director buddy, Adam Shankman, was more excited about the reality show mention.

"Adam writes me and he's like, 'Do you know that you were on The Bachelor?!' He was all excited about it and I was like, 'No, I really didn't know that.' Then the next day I saw it everywhere."

While Haibon's candid confessions did nothing for Quinn -- who admitted she hadn't heard of the musician -- the hilarious montage prompted comedian and After Paradise guest Paul Scheer to declare Thomas the next Bachelor.

But don't expect to see the GRAMMY-winning musician on the ABC series -- he is happily married to Puerto Rican beauty Marisol Maldonado. And while they may not watch Bachelor in Paradise, they do pass the time on the road binge-watching other shows.

"I've been binging on The Get Down and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend -- that show's a lot funnier than I thought it was going be," he shared. "I've been watching every music documentary under the sun. Stop Making Sense about Talking Heads, The Last Waltz, and we also went through an Elvis phase with This Is Elvis and Elvis: That's the Way It Is,which blew my mind."

"What else do you do on a bus?" he said. "You watch as much TV as you can. And we drink a little too much!"
