'DWTS' Sends Home One Last Contestant Before Season 23 Finale -- Find Out Who Got Eliminated!

*Caution: Spoilers ahead!*

Night one of Dancing With the Stars’ two-night finale aired Monday, and with only four amazing stars remaining, it was going to be sad to see anyone get eliminated.

After a night of lukewarm "redemption" dances -- where stars got a chance to re-do a dance style that they'd previously performed -- and four amazing freestyle performances, there was no clear choice for elimination between Laurie Hernandez, Calvin Johnson Jr., James Hinchcliffe and Jana Kramer.

After it was announced that Hernandez and Johnson were safe and would be moving on to the final round of finals, it all came down to Kramer and Hinchcliffe, who'd both delivered a slew of perfectly-scored dances throughout the season.

However, when it came right down to it, Kramer couldn't compete with Hinchcliffe's amazing comeback story and the 32-year-old singer was sent packing, along with her pro-partner, Gleb Savchenko.

After hugging their fellow DWTS stars, Kramer and Savchenko joined co-hosts Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron on the dance floor to share some parting words, and Kramer had nothing but love and praise for the remaining contestants.

"Those people up there so deserve to be there, they're absolutely amazing," she shared. "It was our time."

Kramer also had some kind words for Savchenko, calling him "the most incredible partner."

"I've learned so much about myself and what I can do and how strong I can really be, and he's given me all that," she added.

While Kramer and Savchenko had the lowest combined scores of the evening -- earning a 35 and a 36 for a grand total of 71 out of 80 -- Hinchcliffe and his partner, Sharna Burgess, delivered one of the most impressive performances in recent DWTS history.

Inspired by Hinchcliffe's often-mentioned horrifying auto accident that nearly took his life 18 months ago, the couple's freestyle was set to "Beethoven's 5 Secrets," with additional audio featuring Hinchcliffe narrating the story of his own near-death experience and his will to survive.

"They didn't think I would race again, they didn't think I'd walk again, they weren't even sure I was going to live. But here I am," Hinchcliffe's disembodied voice intoned as the couple concluded their emotional routine.

The judges loved the number, with Carrie Ann Inaba sharing, "In 23 seasons, I have never, ever seen a more intelligent, artistic, passionate, creative and well-danced freestyle… you are the miracle man of Season 23."

Hinchcliffe and Burgess ended up getting a 40 out of 40 for the beautiful performance which, coupled with the 37 they earned for their foxtrot earlier in the evening, gave them a combined score of 77 out of 80.
