This reunion has been a long time coming!

Over the weekend, Michelle Williams reunited with her Dawson's Creek co-star, James Van Der Beek, at Jeff Bezos and Matt Damon's Manchester By The Sea holiday party in Los Angeles, California. The two played friends and on-screen love interests, Dawson Leery and Jen Lindley, on the wildly popular series, and were all smiles as they posed together for a rare photo op on Saturday night.

Williams, 36, and Van Der Beek, 39, have not been photographed in public together since 2003, which was the year that Dawson's Creek aired its series finale.

While other beloved TV show casts have come back with revivals in recent years, the stars of Dawson's Creek have not been so open to a reunion. In an interview with The Insider earlier this year, Joshua Jackson -- who portrayed Pacey Witter on the show -- reminded fans that a lot would have to happen for Williams to make a return to the series.

"People always forget that Michelle Williams' Jen character was killed off, so they really need to figure out a way around that," Jackson, 38, explained. "I guess she could come back as a ghost, or they could do it like Dallas did and have someone wake up and find her alive in the shower 20 years later. That could work!"

Katie Holmes -- who played Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek -- also wasn't too keen on reviving the series. "I don't want them to grow up," the 37-year-old actress told Yahoo! Style. "You know, it's kind of like your parents -- they never get out of their 50s, that's where they are."
