Hairspray Live
treated fans to a little Tracy Turnblad treat during Wednesday’s broadcast.

The NBC production featured cameos by both Ricki Lake (who played Tracy in the 1988 film) and Marissa Jaret Winokur (who played the role on Broadway) during the show’s jazzy “Welcome to the ‘60s” number.

Of course, the stars’ cameos weren’t a secret -- Baillio couldn’t contain her excitement over the special surprise during a conference calls with reporters last month.

"[Both Winokur and Lake] gave me a lot of good advice, and they're going to make cameos in the show!" she gushed.

All three women got together on ET’s stage last month, dishing about their experiences taking on the iconic role.

"When I see Hairspray on TV, I will stop and watch," Lake admitted. "It's just a part of my history and my life, so it's a flattering thing to see it in all these incarnations. It's amazing."
