Turns out, not even the most powerful man in the world gets what he wants all the time.

On Wednesday’s all-new Too Close to Home, Anna (Danielle Savre) is faced with a difficult decision when she receives a very personal phone call from the President (Matt Battaglia).

“So am I to understand that you’re ignoring me?” asks the commander-in-chief, whose scandalous affair with Anna was the reason she fled Washington and returned to her hometown of Happy, Alabama. “You know how that makes me crazy and you know what happens when I’m upset. Is that what you want, for me to be upset?”

Anna assures him that she’s fine, but steels her resolve when President tells her needs her “on the next plane to D.C.”

“I’m not going to D.C.,” she tells him forcefully. “We need to end this, OK? The whole world knows.”

Even as the President pleads that he’ll take care of his wife and manage the public reaction, Anna reiterates that it’s over, tossing his aide’s cell phone to the ground and speeding off -- all under the watchful eye of Brody (Brock O’Hurn).
