Kerry Washington is ready to stop standing behind flowers and things on set!

The Scandal star was on Tuesday's Ellen DeGeneres Show teasing the highly anticipated return of the hit ABC series, and the two couldn't help but poke fun at the lengths the show went to in order to hide Washington's pregnancy.

"I'm behind something [for every shot]," the 39-year-old actress laughed.

"It was hilarious. You walk up, and you're behind the flowers, because you were pregnant," Ellen DeGeneres hilariously pointed out of the clip they showed on the program.

Washington, who welcomed her second child, Caleb, with husband Nnamdi Asomugha in October, marveled at how DeGeneres guessed the baby's gender on her show.

"I had no idea what I was having. I said, 'I hope he is human,'" she recalled. "That turned out right."

Meanwhile, as the long wait for more Scandal finally draws to a close, Washington promised that viewers won't be disappointed.

"It's worth the wait," she said, referring to the election that happens on the show. "In the first 10 minutes you will find out who won and who lost."

Interestingly enough, the scenes they shot before the real U.S. election that happened in 2016 were almost too close to reality to believe, Washington shared.

"We shot the episodes way before the real election," she explained, adding, "It will be hard to believe that we didn't know [the results]."

"It used to be that Scandal was this crazy show that was outside of the realm of possibility," Washington added.

No spoilers, Kerry!
