Leighton Meester
and Adam Pally are all about Making History.

The half-hour Fox comedy follows Dan Chambers (Pally), a university facilities manager who discovers time travel and goes back to the 18th century to hang out with his girlfriend, Deborah (Meester), Paul Revere’s eldest daughter. But every time he transports himself back to the past, Dan unknowingly changes the present.

ET exclusively debuts a sneak peek from Sunday’s episode, titled “The Shot Heard Around the World,” where the couple go back to olden times -- first to rescue Dan’s history professor pal, Chris (Yassir Lester).

“That glimpse of the future was so overwhelming. There was Chris’ statue, a building and that miraculous shiny paper,” Deborah says, dreaming of the futuristic object she had just glimpsed.

“That was a York Peppermint Pattie wrapper,” Dan says, unamused by her fascination.

“It was the most splendid thing I’ve ever seen!” Deborah adorably quips.
