EXCLUSIVE: Gina Rodriguez Says Jane Losing Her Virginity Is an Awkward ‘Roller Coaster’
An animated series, based on the popular educational computer game, has officially been given the green light and will premiere on Netflix in 2019.
Golden Globe winner and Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez will voice the lead character, Carmen Sandiego.
“’Don't ask where ... ask who.’ @Netflix (just call me Carmen ),” the 32-year-old CW actress teased on Twitter, confirming the news.
The 20 episode show, produced by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, will see Carmen “back and ready for a new crop of international capers packed with thrilling adventure and intrigue.”

The series will also explore “WHO in the world is Carmen Sandiego and WHY she became a super thief.”
Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard will voice Carmen’s friend and partner-in-crime, Player.
