The 46-year-old actor might have to decline the role if his current show, 'Pitch,' is renewed for a second season.

Mark Consuelos is heading to Riverdale!

The 46-year-old actor will be joining the CW series' second season as Hiram Lodge, Veronica Lodge's father, TV Line reports.

According to the show, Lodge is described as a “a ruthless, handsome, charismatic businessman who is coming back to Riverdale after weathering a financial scandal that almost destroyed him. He is there to reconnect with his wife Hermione and, especially, his daughter Veronica, who is the apple of his eye.”

Consuelos' casting on Riverdale, however, is dependent on his other show, Pitch. Consuelos currently co-stars on the Fox baseball drama as general manager Oscar Arguella, and would have to drop his commitment to Riverdale if Pitch is renewed for a second season.

ET caught up with another Riverdale dad, Luke Perry, last month, who teased another possible addition to the show's second season: his old Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates!
