According to several reports, Scandal will be ending after its seventh season, and ABC plans to announce the news at next week's upfront presentation.

"I think every single day that we work together has been amazing, truly," Rhimes bragged. "It's always amazing. I have these great casts and I feel really lucky."

Washington -- who plays crisis management expert Olivia Pope -- agreed, noting that the cast has had such big moments in their personal lives while shooting Scandal, including the actress herself turning 40, marrying Nnamdi Asomugha, and giving birth to two children, daughter Isabelle and son Caleb. "To go back and see like, 'Oh, that was at the beginning, or I got married right after that episode,' it is fun to go back and watch our lives unfold," she shared. "And to do that with everybody, like, 'That was right when Katie [Lowes] bought her house.'"

Meanwhile, Rhimes' other Thursday night shows, Grey's Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder, have been renewed for a 14th and fourth season.
