Swimsuits and evening gowns were worn, questions were answered, and when all was said and done, Miss District of Columbia, Kara McCullough, was crowned Miss USA 2017, beating out runners up Miss New Jersey and Miss Minnesota.

This marks the second year in a row that D.C.'s representative has taken home the crown. McCullough, originally from Naples, Italy, is the seventh foreign-born Miss USA.

Julianne Hough and Terrence J hosted the annual pageant in Las Vegas on Sunday, while model Ashley Graham took viewers backstage at the show. The night also included performances by Pitbull and Brett Eldredge.

Congrats, Miss D.C.!
