EXCLUSIVE: Why Justin Theroux Won't Take Any Credit for 'The Leftovers'

Nomination voting for the 2017 Emmys began June 12 and closed on Monday at 10 p.m.; the full list of nominations will be revealed July 13, and awards voting will occur between Aug. 14 and Aug. 28. An Emmy nomination this year would be the first for the series, which wrapped up its series run after three seasons earlier this month.

During an interview with Elle last year, Theroux revealed that he was "embarrassed" by the viral sweatpants moment.

"It's like having someone yank your shorts down in public. It doesn't feel great. Anyone who has an unflattering picture taken of them would probably say, 'Join the club.' It has the appearance of a compliment," Theroux explained, "but it's more mortifying than anything else."

Sorry, Theroux!

The 2017 Emmys will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater on Sept. 17 on CBS.
