Cheryl Burke started out as a little girl in the small California city of Atherton before making it big in Los Angeles.

Since becoming an accomplished pro dancer, Cheryl returned up north to receive a key to her hometown. "They were just really proud of… what I've accomplished on Dancing With the Stars," she says.

The mirror ball champ has always set her sights high, saying, "There's so much opportunity here in California, but I think for me, dancing is a worldwide thing. I never thought I was going to make it here in Los Angeles and be able to still pursue my passion and dream and be able to share it on television like I am today in front of millions of people."
