'Modern Family' Star Recounts His Intro to SoCal
Rico Rodriguez plays California native Manny Delgado on ABC's hit Modern Family, but the 14-year-old actor still remembers his first California experience.
"We made a trip to California to pursue my sister's career," said the native Texan, whose 19-year-old sister Raini stars on the Disney Channel's Austin & Ally. "That's how we ended up here in California, and the rest is history."
One of Rico's favorite locations just happens to be "The Happiest Place on Earth."
"One of my favorite places here is Disneyland," said Rico. "It's so magical. You get to see all the characters."
While Rico boasts of an adventurous spirit, he still has a few trips to cross off his to-do list.
"I've never been up to Big Bear," said Rico. "Hopefully, one day I'll gather up the courage to go up and ski."
