California is home to some of the best golf in the world and, because this is Hollywood, some of the most avid golfers are celebrities. We're taking a closer look at the Cali courses the celebs can't get enough of.

With over 350 days of sunshine every year and over 118 golf courses, the greater Palm Springs area truly is the mecca of golf. The PGA West is the home of six world-class golf courses and stars from Mark Wahlberg and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as President Bill Clinton have all played there.

Golfing has long been a favorite pastime of Clint Eastwood, so much in fact that the Oscar winner opened the Tehama Golf Club in 1999. The private course features 6,506 yards that overlook the Pacific in his picturesque hometown of Carmel.

"This is a great setting," he says of Carmel. "I decided to build this up here and it's been quite nice."

Clint joins a long list of celebrities who enjoy the fairways including Justin Timberlake, Tim Allen and George Lopez, who is prepping for his 7th Annual Golf Classic in Toluca Lake.

"I started golfing in 1981. We usually had a club around the house but only in case we heard a noise," he jokes.
