Hollywood's Love Affair with Sushi

From playing roles to eating rolls, Hollywood stars can't get enough of sushi! Shakira, Gwen Stefani, and Kimye are just a few stars who are often photographed leaving one of Los Angeles' many sushi joints.

Raw fish is also often an award show staple. It was even served by famous chef Wolfgang Puck at The Governor's Ball following the Oscars.

But how did sushi get it's start in The Golden State? ET went to celebrity hotspot Katsuya in Hollywood to find out.

Japanese chefs first brought the cuisine to California in the 1960s.

"[California has] a lot of things that were really similar as far as quality," said Katsuya Chef David Lespron.
