Jimmy Fallon shares what might be overheard at the Golden Globe Awards when he hosts on Sunday night.

On Thursday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Tonight Show host plays a game of "Speak Out" where he attempts to recite lines that might be said at the awards show while wearing a mouth gear of sorts. "Why is this show so long?" Fallon says with a mouthful of plastic. "I thought Tina and Amy were hosting."

The TV personality jokes that he speaks better with the mouth gear than without, and then proceeds to kiss DeGeneres while wearing the apparatus.

Also during his time on Ellen, Fallon recalls one of his more embarrassing awards show moments that occurred when he was asked to present an award to Smokey Robinson that he thought was for the music icon's work with UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund). Fallon remembers hitting the red carpet and recounting his fond memories of UNICEF, only to find out that Robinson was being honored for his contributions to the UNCF (United Negro College Fund).

"I read the email wrong," he quips. "Smokey has probably done a lot of stuff for UNICEF as well, I don't know."

Fallon spoke with ET earlier this week, and teased his Golden Globes cold open and the star-studded cameos that viewers can expect. "We have a fun, surprise, pre-taped opening that is honestly cameo after cameo," Fallon gushed. "We've already shot half of it. It's so good! I won't say anyone's name -- Ryan Reynolds. I'm just so excited. I want you to see it."
