Candace Cameron Bure
hit the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, where she looked radiant and classy, in spite of facing some challenges when it came to getting ready.

However, Bure told ET's Carly Steel that she barely had time to get herself together before coming out for the fancy affair.

"I literally just got off a plane and I washed my hair in a bathroom sink," the actress explained. "I'm not even kidding you, I got a very quick blow dry [and] threw some make up on. I’ve got a great makeup artist."

Bure added that, while she picked out the dress a few weeks ago, she "hadn’t even had it altered."

"I threw it on, got in the car, and I’m here," she said. "I was just happy to make it."

While Bure planned out her People's Choice Awards gown weeks ago, it turns out the sitcom star and her husband, former NHL pro Valeri Bure, haven't made any plans for Valentine's Day.

"We don’t celebrate Valentine's Day," Bure explained. "My husband and I, we treat each other throughout the year. It feels contrived on Valentine's Day, so we don’t do anything on that specific day."

So what does her adoring husband give his lady love to show he cares throughout the year? "Flowers. I love flowers."
