Michael Douglas, Zoe Saldana and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were just a few of the A-listers that attended Michael Kors' spring 2012 fashion show Wednesday, one of the most highly anticipated runway events of New York Fashion Week.
Kors' spring collection didn't disappoint, showcasing a beautiful safari-like theme which the designer admits was inspired by his frequent trips to Africa.
"I love all the texture, and the color, and just the light ... whether it's the sunset or just all of those wonderful baked colors that you see in Africa," he tells ET. "I wanted to do a collection that was the antithesis of my fall collection, which was very urban gray and black, very New York. Because when the weather gets warm it's nice to escape, and if you can't escape and you have to go to the office, why not have a little fantasy?"
