'Twilight' director Catherine Hardwicke gives the classic fairytale a horror-movie twist. Amanda Seyfried plays Valerie, a beautiful young girl living in a village that hides a terrifying secret: A werewolf prowls the surrounding forest, and the townsfolk maintain an uneasy truce by providing a monthly animal sacrifice. When the beast takes a human life, the townsfolk recruit famed werewolf hunter Father Solomon (Gary Oldman) to help them kill it. Torn between a brooding outsider (Shiloh Fernandez) and her arranged suitor (Max Irons), Valerie discovers that she has a unique connection to the beast, making her both suspect…and bait.
