Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner: A Look Back at Their Romance

Garner brought the couple's eldest daughter Violet along to hear her dad speak at a Senate Appropriations' subcommittee on "Diplomacy, Development, and National Security" in March 2015.

Ben and Jen sparkled on the red carpet at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscar party.

Garner joined her husband onstage when Ben hosted Saturday Night Live in May 2013.

The husband and wife snuggled up at the 10th Annual Stuart House Benefit in Los Angeles in March 2013.

Affleck thanked his wife in his acceptance speech when Argo won the 2013 Oscar for Best Picture, saying,  "I want to thank you for working on our marriage for 10 Christmases. It's good. It is work, but the best kind of work and there's no one I'd rather work with."

Affleck and Garner looked ravishing on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2013, where Ben took home Best Picture and Best Director honors for his film Argo.

Ben and Jen shared a sweet moment at the 2011 Critics' Choice Awards.

The actors smiled with NBA star Shaquille O'Neal at the gala opening of the The Greenbrier's Casino Club in July 2010.

Affleck and Garner looked very much in love on the red carpet at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards.

The pair were all smiles on the Boston set of Affleck's directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, in 2007.

Jen and Ben were back at the Red Sox games in October 2005 as they were ready to welcome their first child! Garner gave birth to daughter Violet on Dec. 1 of that year.

The newlyweds, who married in June 2005, looked smitten at the Emmy Awards in September that same year.

Some of Ben and Jen's first public appearances as an official couple were at baseball games in late 2004, as Affleck's beloved hometown Red Sox fought their way to a historic World Series win.

Affleck and Garner played love interests in 2003's Daredevil and their chemistry translated off-screen as the two attended press events and private screenings for the film.

Ben and Jen first became friendly on the sets of 2001's Pearl Harbor and the 2003 Marvel superhero flick Daredevil, despite both being in other relationships at the time. (Affleck was engaged to Jennifer Lopez and Garner was married to Felicity co-star Scott Foley.)
