'Game of Thrones': Jon Snow Learns the Truth in the Season 8 Premiere

We're right here with you as we say goodbye to the HBO series.

No need to send a raven -- ET was right there during Game of Thrones' season eight premiere with live updates throughout the highly anticipated night of television on Sunday.

With one episode down and five more to go, we'll be watching the Starks, Lannisters, Greyjoys and more battle each other (and the White Walkers) throughout the HBO series' eighth and final season.

There were reunions galore, including face-to-face moments with Jon and Bran, Jon and Arya, Arya and the Hound, Arya and Gendry (who might be her new love interest!) and even Jaime and Bran (who haven't seen each other since Jaime crippled Bran in the season premiere). The biggest moment of the episode, however? That just might be Jon learning the truth about his identity -- and that he just slept with his aunt.

While we're not quite sure where our favorite characters will end up -- though we're guessing not all of them will get a happy ending -- director David Nutter told ET to expect an epic conclusion.

"It's such a complete and satisfying finale, and where the show goes to, and the journey that it takes, it lives up to the hype and lives up to why the audience loves the show so much," he said. "It's going to be something quite, very special."
