Mr. and Mrs. Claus are returning to Netflix in 2020!
On Friday, Goldie Hawn took to Instagram to announce that she and Kurt Russell will return as the festive couple in The Christmas Chronicles 2, which will debut next holiday season. The sequel will follow the first film in the franchise, which premiered last year.
In the pic, Hawn and her real-life partner pose in front of a snowy backdrop while outfitted as Santa and Mrs. Claus.
"A year later and I’m still ringing Santa’s jingle bells 🤶🏻," Hawn captioned the pic. "I couldn’t be happier to be working on @christmaschronicles again with Kurt Russell, my real life Santa 🎅🏼 @netflix 2020"
In a press release for the upcoming Chris Columbus-directed flick, Netflix announced that it'll follow cynical teenager Kate Pierce (Darby Camp) as she's unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a mysterious, magical troublemaker named Belsnickel (Julian Dennison) threatens to destroy Christmas forever.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Judah Lewis are set to reprise their roles as Claire and Teddy respectively, while Jahzir Bruno is joining the sequel to play Jack.
