Nobody is more proud of Nicole Kidman's big 2018 Golden Globe nomination than her husband, Keith Urban.
The 50-year-old actress is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her role as Celeste in HBO's Big Little Lies, and interestingly enough, Big Little Lies is competing with Top of the Lake: China Girl -- which Kidman also starred in -- for Best TV Movie or Limited Series. Urban reacted to his wife's multiple honors on Twitter.
"Hey baby- CONGRATULATIONS on all the GLOBES love this morn!!!!!!" Urban tweeted. "Incredibly proud of you, the work, and all the BLL and TOTL team. THE STARS ALIGNED!!! xxxxxx - KU #GoldenGlobes."
Kidman also reacted to the exciting news on Monday in a statement to ET.
"We are all aware of how rare it is for a show and it's cast to be honored in such a huge way, and we are all incredibly grateful," Kidman said. "Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press for giving the show so much love. It was made with love, guided by the incredible David E. Kelley and Jean-Marc Vallée as well as my partners in passion Reese Witherspoon, Per Saari and Bruna Papandrea. The character Celeste is so precious to me and the recognition is deeply appreciated."
The Oscar-winning actress has talked about how Urban provided her emotional support during Big Little Lies' intense filming, during which Kidman played an abused wife. The successful series was recently officially renewed for season two.
"Because we were shooting for so long… I think the duration of [the production] slowly started to seep in," Kidman told ET in July. "Normally I can step back into my family life in a very easy way. I mean, not always, but you know, usually. I've been working a long time now. But it was hard."
"Luckily I have a partner who is artistic so he understands what it takes to support that," she added. "[He] would hold me, and I was really upset at times. Really damaged and really upset and physically and emotionally drained and in pain... Luckily I have that at home and I also have people I can talk to and get it out."
