Luckily, the 7' 1" foot tall retired NBA star was a fan of the bit, taking to Twitter to laugh off the impression.

There probably aren't bigger shoes to fill than Shaquille O'Neal's -- but Kevin Hart gave it a shot!

Despite their nearly two-foot height disparity, the 5' 4" Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star played the retired 7' 1" basketball pro during his hosting stint on Saturday Night Live's Christmas episode, hilariously teasing Shaq's hosting persona on TNT's Inside the NBA.

During the sketch, Hart's Shaq character confused his NBA show co-hosts with stream of consciousness ramblings, before standing up --revealing giant stilts -- as he challenged Charles Barkley, played by Kenan Thompson, to a game of 1-on-1.

Check out the moment below.

And before you go feeling bad for Shaq, the basketball icon laughed off the bit on Instagram, writing to Hart, "@kevinhart4real you a fool for this one #laughatmypain #senseofhumor #laughatyourself."

Hey... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

The bit also went over extremely well with basketball fans on Twitter, who showered the social media site with cry-laugh emojis in response.

For the record, this is what it looks like when the two stand next to each other in real life.

Merry Christmas, one and tall!
