The apocalypse is coming!
More like X-Men: Apocalypse is coming – and if you didn’t know that, you’re likely living under a rock somewhere because director Bryan Singer is the king of posting set photos, designs, casting news and sneak peeks to Instagram.
It’s only day two of filming, and we already have our official first look at Jean Grey (Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner) and Jubilee (Lana Condor) on set.
The ladies are donning some pretty fab attire, since the movie takes place in 1983 – and it seems there will be no shortage of amusing ‘80s references, like the fact that Return of the Jedi is in theaters.
Or that Singer recreated his favorite childhood arcade for the movie.
On Monday, Singer posted and quickly removed a character poster of Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler with the caption “First day on set! Here is @kodismitmcpheee as #Nightcrawler. Catch him before he’s gone.…” Because he teleports! Get it?
Singer always makes sure we’re completely up to date on the latest casting news.
And regularly posts production art and set design photos.
He even gave us a sneak peek at the first page of the treatment.
Again, It’s only the second day of filming and our heads are getting ready to explode (but keep it coming, Singer). We’ll do our very best to contain ourselves until X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
