With tons of new footage we get a look at the dark, violent side of the upcoming epic that looks like it's going to be bigger, more intense and more emotional than any Star Wars film that's come before. While we still didn't get a look at Luke, or the possible "starkiller" base, there is still enough in this lengthy trailer for fans to obsessive over and analyze for weeks to come.
After rebooting Star Trek, it's clear now that J.J. Abrams can take any beloved property and make it new and exciting without alienating the franchise’s original fans, and that is not an easy task (just ask almost any other director who has ever remade a beloved film).
