Zac Efron Rocks Frosted Tips To Channel His 'Hero' Zack Morris at 'Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates' Premiere

Zac Efron is taking some styles cues from another famous, handsome ladies' man (with a similar name): Saved By the Bell's Zack Morris.

Efrom walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, on Wednesday night, and the 28-year-old star was rocking some seriously killer, '90s-inspired frosted tips.

Efron and his co-star, Adam DeVine, stopped to talk with ET's Carly Steel at the star-studded screening, where the former Disney Channel star embraced the comparisons with Mark-Paul Gosselaar's iconic sitcom character, even calling Zack Morris "my hero."

DeVine, however, suggested a different inspiration: "You saw a peacock and you're like, 'That's a sexy bird!'" the Workaholics star joked.

However, it turns out that Efron's frosted tips weren't inspired by anything. In reality, the bold look was due to the production of his upcoming film, Baywatch.

"I thought I had additional photography in the next upcoming weeks so I just kind of kept it, and I just talked to the producers and they said that I don't have to reshoot anything for about like a year," Efron shared. "So I've just been having it for no reason."

"You're punk rock and rock and roll, that's why you have it, Zac," DeVine chimed in. "Don't let anyone talk you out of it!"

The co-stars have one of the most enviable bromances in Hollywood right now, and their comedic chemistry couldn’t be stronger in the clips for their upcoming Hawaiian-set comedy, which hits theaters July 8.

Efron and DeVine recently sat down with ET to talk about their raunchy rom com and the pair dished on butt doubles and which member of the cast had the softest lips. Check out the hilarious interview below.
