The Force Awakens trailer's record of 112 million online views in 24 hours was overtaken on Thursday by the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, which netted a staggering 114 million views on its first day, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Of course, the S&M sequel still has some big shoes to fill. The 2015 film -- starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan -- broke February opening weekend box office records (only to be broken again the following year by Deadpool), and has earned over $571 million at the box office to date.
