John Wick: Chapter 2
stars Ruby Rose
sat down with ET to chat about roles they still want to play and their potential music collaboration.
After appearing in action movies like Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, xXx: Return of Xander Cage and the upcoming John Wick sequel, we wouldn't be surprised if Rose was singled out to be a Bond girl in the near future. The 30-year-old actress lit up at the thought.
"I could get down with that," she admitted.
As we dream of what could be, Rose continues to make a name for herself by playing powerful female characters on the big screen. In the John Wick sequel, she portrays a mute crime boss called Ares, and she explained to ET's Courtney Tezeno why she gravitated to the script so intensely.
"I loved that she wasn't a character that needed to use her sexuality to kind of seduce someone to kind of catch him off guard -- which I love watching that in films -- but I enjoyed the fact that she didn't need to do that," Rose said. "She had a suit like everybody else and, in my opinion, looked slightly nicer. I love that she was pragmatic and it made sense. Like, if I was running around and chasing him in a skirt and heels, I would not have stood a chance."
Meanwhile, Rose is stepping into Common's realm by getting her singing voice ready for Pitch Perfect 3, and they were both excited by the suggestion of possibly creating something in the recording studio together.
"Definitely got to connect," Common said. "That would be a dope idea."
While the music-filled sequel doesn't start filming for another three weeks, Rose has been having a blast at rehearsals.
"Meeting the cast was amazing!" she said. "I'm a huge fan of Elizabeth Banks, Rebel [Wilson], Anna [Kendrick], so getting on stage the other day and singing in front of everyone as a bit of a rehearsal was invigorating."
John Wick: Chapter 2 hits theaters Feb. 10. Pitch Perfect 3 is due Dec. 22.
