The group said in a statement: "We're so excited to announce our fourth album, FOUR! We've worked incredibly hard writing and recording it whilst we've been on the road and we couldn't have done it without your support. As a special thank you for everything you guys have done for us we wanted to give you 'Fireproof' - it's a track from the album and you can get it for free right now. You'll be able to download it for free for the next 24 hours. We hope you enjoy it and we can't wait for you to listen to the album in full. Thank you, you guys mean the world to us."

"Fireproof" is written by 1D members Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, alongside John Ryan, Jamie Scott and Julian Bunetta. It's the first offering from what a Columbia Records press release has dubbed "their most stunning [album] yet."

NEWS: One Direction Gets In the Makeup Biz

Last year's Midnight Memories made One Direction the first band in history to debut atop the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart with their first three albums. The pop phenoms are currently coming off the sold out Where We Are global stadium tour and the 3D rock doc This Is Us.

Are you excited for Four? The album is available for pre-order now.
