Jennifer Lopez did a little soulful singing before the sun came up.

Early Friday morning, the 47-year-old triple-threat star posted a video to Instagram of her singing Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 1967 R&B hit, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," alongside vocal coach Stevie Mackey. "Late nights w Mackey," she
captioned the video.

Mackey also shared the performance on Instagram, in addition to a selfie of Lopez. "She's awesome," he wrote.

In a recent interview with ET's Brice Sander, Mackey shared what it's like working with Lopez during these vocal sessions. "J.Lo's always working on new music, and right now, of course, she's working on her [Las] Vegas show and the residency. It's going on right now, it's hot. It's the best show in Vegas," he said while at OK! magazine's pre-GRAMMY party earlier this month. "J.Lo's one of those people where she just never stops working on anything, and never stops working on any music. So, we're just keeping the vocals warm and just feeling it out."

This isn't the first time Mackey has shared videos of Lopez singing with him. A few weeks ago, he posted footage of her performing Nat King Cole's song, "Smile."

"Give it to her," he gushed. "Doin' the work!"
