People can not stop speculating about the design and designer of Kate Middleton's wedding dress since Prince William and his bride-to-be announced their engagement last year.Established English designers Bruce Oldfield, Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton, Alice Temperley and more have all been named as possible designers of the soon-to-be-famous gown. However, Huffington Post royal correspondent Yvonne York reported that a relatively unknown designer, Sophie Cranston who designs under the line Libelula, is now in the picture. ETonline has gone to the Katharine Bird boutique in London, the only store that sells the Libelula bridal collection.

Laura Pritchard, an employee at Katharine Bird explains how Kate Middleton first found the relatively unknown designer, who has subsequently been thrust into the international public's eye. "Obviously there is a lot of anticipation about what Kate Middleton is going to wear, and Kate came across the Libelula designs in a local shop where her parents live and wore a coat of Sophie's design to a wedding. And so the speculation started that Sophie may be designing her dress."

Laura describes the Libelula bridal line, which range from an affordable 500 to 750 pounds, as, "Really beautifully cut, very feminine, always 100-percent silk including the linings, just exquisite details."
