During a live broadcast at Cannes on Friday, Christoph Waltz was rushed offstage after a sound similar to that of a gunshot was heard nearby.

According to Canal Plus, a man fired off two blanks from a gun, sending the audience into frenzy and leading Christoph Waltz and Daniel Auteuil to be whisked away.
The broadcast of Le Grand Journal -- an entertainment show broadcasting daily from the Cannes Film Festival -- reportedly continued shortly after the man in question was apprehended.
According to The Hollywood Reporter no one was injured.
