Hotel Fires Employee Who Leaked Solange's Alleged Elevator Fight

The Standard Hotel in New York City, where the infamous alleged fight between Solange Knowles and Jay Z was caught on an elevator security tape and leaked to the media, has found the person responsible for releasing the footage and the employee has been terminated.

According to a statement released by The Standard, the establishment has "identified the individual responsible for breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video."

The statement goes on to say that the unnamed employee has already been fired and that the hotel's next step is to turn over "all available information to the criminal authorities," and to pursue "all available civil and criminal remedies."

The leaked clip in question was from security footage captured inside an elevator at The Standard Hotel on May 5, during an after-party following the Met Gala.

The tape allegedly shows Jay Z, his wife Beyonce, her sister Solange Knowles and a body guard entering the elevator before the woman believed to be Solange launches an aggressive physical attack against the man believed to be the rapper.

No one involved in the incident has commented publicly on the fight or the footage, and no reason for the alleged attack has been provided.
