U.S. Tourist Injured After Run-In with Security in Kim Kardashian Wedding City

A couple vacationing in Europe claimed Friday they were intimidated and the husband was injured while being chased away by a private security guard in Florence, Italy where Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are scheduled to tie the knot tomorrow.

U.S. citizens Rick and Jodi Hammesfahr told ET that the harassment came as they tried to take pictures at a villa adjacent to Florence's famous Boboli Gardens, where apparently a private wedding-related party was going on. "It was scary, it was awful," Jodi said.

"I mean you keep hearing Amanda Knox in your head, and he says he's calling the police," Jodi recalled, referring to Knox, an American woman who spent nearly four years in an Italian prison after being convicted along with another man of the 2007 murder of a female British student. Knox consistently maintained her innocence and was later freed and returned to the U.S. when her conviction was overturned.

"He kept saying, 'Oh no, it's different here, you are not allowed to take
pictures of private parties.' He just  kept saying that over and over, and I
said, 'I didn't know it was private party, how would I know that?'"

Jodi added: "I had so many anxiety moments that I thought I was going to jail. I mean he really was convincing, and he was very scary and when he started yelling, 'You crazy Americans,' I thought oh, this is it."

The wedding of Kim Kardashian to Kanye West is set to take place tomorrow in Florence, with more than more than 200 guests expected to join family members for the ceremony at the city's famed 16th-century Belvedere Fort, which the couple reportedly forked over $400,000 to rent out for the occasion.
