ET sits down with Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and the cast of 'The Sorrentinos.'
Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino returns to reality TV (this time with his entire family!) in The Sorrentinos, premiering July 15 on TVGN, and ET special correspondent Flex Alexander sat down with the entire cast.
The Sorrentinos will follow Mike's family as they try to run a tanning salon and support Mike's sobriety. Mike opened up about his addiction to pain medicine to Flex, who is no stranger to the struggle. Flex's mother has been 25 years sober while he has a brother that's been 24 years sober and another brother who lost his fight with addiction.
"Some of the parts I didn't understand was how it affected some of the loved ones, because I had supported the family for a very long time," said Mike, who explained that, as the primary breadwinner, he felt he didn't have to answer to his family members. "I realized that it wasn't about money. It was about family."
Last month police were called to break up an alleged fight between Mike and his brother Frank. Mike assured us that there were no "closed-handed" blows thrown
"I was a little upset with a couple things at the store and one thing led to another," said Mike. "No family's perfect."
