Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are putting those baby rumors to rest once and for all.
Portia de Rossi might be the newest, fiercest woman on Scandal this season (and already bonding with her co-stars), but she and wife Ellen DeGeneres are once again addressing the reports that they are expecting head-on.
The actress showed up on her wife's daytime talk show on Tuesday to clear up all those pesky baby rumors. Ellen says, "The main thing that everybody is asking me about, and asking you about, and I thought I’d let you clear it up, is if we’re having a baby or not? I thought maybe you should answer that question."

At first, the 41-year-old Arrested Development star doesn't answer the question outright, saying, "So fun for everybody if we were." Ellen adds, "Yeah, they want us to have a baby."
Calling out a magazine cover that claims the couple are "finally starting a family" -- but without revealing the tabloid's name -- Portia quips, "Are people really that mad at us?" Ellen responds, "Yeah, we've waited way too long."

Ellen asks her wife of six years, "We're not gonna have a baby?"
"No, we're not," Portia answers.
"Good for me to know," the 56-year-old host jokes.
Portia says she even had to tell her brother that they weren't expecting. "My brother called me and said 'I heard I’m gonna be an uncle?' but there was a tiny little question in the word uncle... because he didn't know, but he’s not gonna read it on the cover of a tabloid."
Ellen had a similar story. "Craig, my assistant, asked if I’m keeping something from him because it’s so prevalent that everyone assumes we really are having a baby and we’re just not sharing it. So we might be having a baby we’re just not sharing it."
She quickly adds, "No, we're not."

This wouldn't be the first time the couple has said they don't want kids. In the May 2013 issue of Out magazine, Portia explained why she wasn't looking to have children.
"There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, 'Am I going to have kids so I don't miss out on something that other people really seem to love? Or is it that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart?' I didn't feel that my response was 'yes' to the latter," she explained. "You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did. So it's just going to be me and Ellen and no babies."
In addition to squashing the baby rumors on Tuesday's show, Ellen also plays off of Zach Galifianakis' Between Two Ferns interview show, and has Portia sit down for a "Between Two Lilies" segment. It was clear in this chat that Ellen can still make her wife laugh.
