Michael Douglas and His Stunt Double Are Adorable Besties
By Rosalyn Oshmyansky
Stunt doubles are pretty much always used in movies -- unless you're dealing with someone insane like Tom Cruise, who wants to do all his stunts himself -- but they rarely get the attention they deserve.
Michael Douglas' stunt double has been playing him for 26 years, and now he is no longer a behind-the-scenes face.
Douglas, 70, revealed the identity of his stunt-double, and he shares not only a similar body, but the same first name too! Michael Runyard isn't just Douglas' loyal stunt double though -- they're also good friends.
There are other photos that show off their similarities -- and their adorable friendship. In 1997, they were in The Game wearing aviators and leather jackets.
Runyard was also there for Douglas in 1989's Black Rain. The two look so much alike that even the back of their heads compare here.
For his latest movie, Ant-Man, Douglas said on Facebook that he "had a great time" and that it was "a new experience with all these blue screens!"
Ant-Man is a Marvel comic flick set for release on July 17, 2015 about con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) who must embrace his inner hero and help protect not only the secret behind that Ant-Man suit, but also his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas).
