Taylor Swift Treats Her Fans Like Her Own BFFs - Here's Proof!

Taylor Swift goes above and beyond when it comes to her “Swifties” – and her latest act of kindness just might take the cake.

After 25-year-old Rebekah Bortniker posted a self-edited video featuring clips of the starlet and her famous pals mashed together to the theme song of Friends on Tumblr, Taylor not only began reblogging and responding to her creative fan’s posts, but decided to send her a gift. And not just an ordinary gift, but several presents that ranged from a handwritten letter, a necklace that once belonged to Taylor, Polaroid photos, and a check for $1,989 to help pay off some pesky student loans.

ET caught up with the lucky fan at her home in Kansas to hear about the touching experience first-hand.

“She started liking [my posts] out of the blue and then I got a message asking for my information ‘cause they saw I was a great fan,” Rebekah explained. “Next thing I know I get a little emoticon from her and the next day I get a message saying I needed to be home to sign for something that would be arriving. And, then Monday evening there's a knock on the door and it’s one of her body guards delivering a box of gifts!”

Taylor clearly rummaged through Rebekah’s Tumblr page (a practical shrine to the singer), because what the T. Swift superfan shared next proves just how much the singer cares about her fans.

“I had made a post before she even liked anything or followed me on [Tumblr] just saying I was really overwhelmed because I’m not currently working. I’m looking but it’s hard to find a job” she told ET. “I was just saying I don’t know how I’m gonna be able to start paying my loans and I guess when she was stalking me she saw that and she ended up sending me in the package $1989 dollars to help me pay off my loans.”

1989 is not only significant to Taylor -- helloooo, it’s the year she was born and the name of her latest record-breaking album – but it’s now a number with a major meaning for Rebekah.

“It means everything to me. It’s something that I can never in a million years imagine happening,” she shared. “I still can’t wrap my head around it… it’s hard to believe that it’s something that’s happening to me, it’s crazy.”

Getting choked up, Rebekah then delivered a message to Taylor, telling our cameras, “To know you care about me and think about me, it’s just the most amazing feeling - thank you so much,” as she wiped tears away from her eyes.
