Get ready to see a whole lot more of Jennifer Garner.

Her husband Ben Affleck has been enjoying the limelight thanks to high-profile roles in Gone Girl and the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and now the 42-year-old actress star says it's her turn to focus on her career. Garner admittedly took some time out for the sake of their three kids, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, while Ben was on set.

"I've been home for a long time," Garner recently said at a press event to promote her new movie Danny Collins, via Us Weekly. "It's my turn and I'm going to go to work this spring. I think I'll work the spring and summer, maybe the fall too, as long as some of it's at home. I don't think my deals are done yet so I can't say, but yeah, I'm about to go to work."

But she stresses that she isn't bitter about Ben's time in the spotlight.

"Ben is super busy and I'm super happy for him," the former Alias star said. "I chose to stay home this year and just said, 'Go for it babe. Do it all. Do Gone Girl, do Batman, do The Accountant. Do everything.' I want that for him and I'm happy for him."

"And he says the same to me," she points out. "Except that he's really busy. But he understands that when I really have to do it, we figure it out."

Garner also revealed how the couple makes it work so that she's not apart from their children for more than just a couple of days at a time.

"You'd be amazed how we figure it out," she said. "I've never been away for more than I think four days. I sit down at the beginning of the movie and say to the people making the schedule, 'Let's look at this.' Then I figure out where I'm going to take the kid and when I can get home."

Last October, Jennifer admitted to Elle that her "ambition" has changed since starting a family.

"My ambition shifted when I had kids in a way that I didn't anticipate," she shared. "I became more ambitious for my life as a whole, and for that kind of health and happiness of the overall family unit. And that very much includes my husband and very much includes me."

"My husband is always the one saying to me, 'You have to work, you have to work. This is part of who you are. We'll figure it out,'" she said. "That's powerful, when your partner has that serious mantra."

And Ben doesn't hesitate to credit his wife with his recent career revival.

"Getting to know Jennifer, falling in love with her and being connected with her gave me a foundation to reach out and say, 'Okay, I'm going to do Hollywoodland. I'm going to direct Gone Baby Gone,'" Affleck told Loaded magazine last December. "Those were the steps forward I needed to put positive stuff on the board."
