While on stage at Plaza de Toros de Playas in Tijuana, Mexico, Saturday night, Enrique Iglesias tried to pull off a baller move that didn't exactly turn into a slam dunk.

A drone was flying around the bullfighting ring (yes, you're reading that venue description right) to get crowd shots of the 12,000 people at the concert, and Enrique jumped up to grab it so he could give the audience a point-of-view shot.

Who doesn't want to check themselves out on a big screen, right?

Unfortunately, that plan didn't work out so well, and the 40-year-old Spaniard sliced his fingers up pretty badly.

"He was semi-treated by crew on the side of the stage to try and stop the bleeding," a rep tells ET. "He was advised to stop the show. He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show."

Like they say, the show must go on!

The "Bailando" singer made a smart move right after the concert, however -- he got full medical help, as one should when blood is coming out of an appendage. Enrique was rushed to a nearby hospital, where an ambulance met him to check out the damage before he was put on a plane to see a specialist in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, Enrique thanked fans for "your concern and good wishes. Enrique is getting the help he needs and we hope he will be totally fine," a statement said on his website. "Will keep you posted and appreciate all your wishes and prayers."

Enrique is currently on his Sex and Love world tour with Pitbull. No word yet on if the injury will cause him to reschedule any dates, though at this time, he doesn't have another show on this tour scheduled until July.

He's definitely a trooper! Check out this video from the show -- bloody hand included:
