Britney Spears was out and about in Thousand Oaks, Calif. on Wednesday, rocking a black ensemble that was, well, unique.
Combining a dressy top -- which included a plunging neckline -- with what appears to be athletic shorts (or possibly a skort?), the "Toxic" singer looked a little mixed up.

Britney snapped a pic of herself in the outfit Wednesday morning, which she captioned: "It's a little black romper kind of day."
Admittedly, the outfit does look cute in the Instagram pic, but might have lost a little of its sparkle as she walked around shopping.

She did, however, show off her sporty new short 'do, which shined bright in the California sun.
Walking around L.A. today, you couldn't even tell that the singer had suffered a serious ankle injury just over a month ago during a performance of her Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me. Check out the video below for a look at her painful accident.
