Rose McGowan Blasts Adam Sandler Over Sexist Casting Notice

By

Rose McGowan isn't shying away from calling out sexism in Hollywood, even when it comes to projects that she might potentially be a part of.

The former Charmed star took to Twitter recently to share a casting note she received along with a script for a film starring a "male" actor whose name "rhymes with Madam Panhandler" -- presumably referring to Adam Sandler.

The casting note has some rather specific requirements for attire: "Please make sure to read the attached script before coming in so you understand the context of the scenes. Wardrobe note: Black (or dark) form-fitting tank that shows off cleavage (push-up bras encouraged). And formfitting leggings or jeans. Nothing white."

"Hahahaha I die," Gowan tweeted.

This is the second time in a week that Sandler has faced criticism in regards to Hollywood sexism.

Last week, Sandler, Kevin James and Selena Gomez walked the red carpet at the screening of the upcoming Hotel Transylvania 2 in Cancun. While Gomez was dressed to the nines in a stunning red gown, Sandler and James went very casual, wearing oversized T-shirts, jeans and sneakers.

Critics claimed that their disparate choices for red carpet attire was indicative of the different standards male and female actors are held to when it comes to style and public persona.

Sandler has not yet responded to McGowan's tweet or criticism stemming from last weekend's red carpet appearance.
