Law enforcement officials say the shooting took place around 1:45 p.m., and that Capo, whose real name was Marvin Carr, was shot in the hip and the back. He was taken to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:37 p.m.
After the shooting, the suspects allegedly drove recklessly and struck a stroller containing 13-month-old Dillon Harper as he and his mother were waiting for a bus. The young boy later died from his injuries at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.
Chicago Alderman Willie B. Cochran told the newspaper that a vigil was planned for Monday to remember and pray for the young boy.
