Jessica Biel definitely has what it takes to be mother of the year.

While promoting her work with the nonprofit organization, WomanCare Global, on the Today show, the 33-year-old actress was all smiles when it came to talking about her baby boy, Silas, and being a first-time parent.

"He's wonderful. He's such a joy," the former 7th Heaven star gushed on the show. "It's an amazing, amazing experience. Incredibly hard -- the hardest job in the world. I've never been more thankful and grateful to my own mother."

Jessica said that right after the interview she was going to call her mother and thank her for all she has done as a parent. "It's an amazing responsibility and the biggest joy ever," she added.

This isn't the first time Jessica has publicly shown her motherly joy. A source close to the Valentine's Day actress told ET that "she loves being a mom and that Silas is a really easy baby. He’s smart and engages with people, very curious."

Her husband, Justin Timberlake, is just as enthusiastic about being a father. When the show asked Jessica if the pop singer was getting up in the middle of the night to feed Silas and change his diapers, she smiled, "He is doing it all. He’s in there -- he's in there deep."
